Well, it has been less than one year here at our new house “up on the hill” and it is a work in progress.
This house was built in the 1950s, it sits on one acre and has 3 bedrooms, 4 full baths, 4 working fireplaces, and 2 kitchens (one in an in-law suit).
It is located in a beautiful “semi-rural” western suburb of Philadelphia.
This was the original house on about 14 acres of land and it is up on a hill (get it?) giving the house some pretty spectacular views from one whole side, sunrises and all.
Anyway, shortly after moving in, the house spoke to me about a farmhouse, french country, lots of cows & ironstone kind of casual feel that it wanted and therein started an affair that required a whole new direction of decorating.
So, I thought y’all might enjoy a blog about the new adventures of me and my kind of country house.
